Why I built CounselorIQ
I built CounselorIQ because studying harder is not always the same as preparing better.
CounselorIQ is an NCE exam preparation platform built around practice performance, targeted study, and test-taking behavior.
I have known people who put in the hours, studied the material, made the sacrifices, and still found themselves facing another attempt and another disappointment.
Sometimes the answer is more content review. Sometimes it is something different. Maybe you are second-guessing yourself. Maybe anxiety changes the way you approach questions. Maybe you are spending your study time on material you already understand while overlooking the areas that actually need attention. And sometimes you sit down for the exam after months of studying and experience that frightening feeling that nothing looks familiar.
I wanted to build something that could help reduce some of that uncertainty.
CounselorIQ is designed to help you understand both the material you are preparing for and the patterns you bring to the testing process.

I make no promise that any program can guarantee you will pass the NCE®. But after graduate school, clinical training, supervision, studying, sacrifice, and everything else it took to reach this point, I believe you deserve the strongest preparation you can give yourself.

Our method
Every question is written to mirror the NCE's content domains and formats, then tagged to both an NCE domain and a CACREP area. Each item carries a full rationale for the correct answer and explanations for every distractor, so you learn why an answer is right and why the others are wrong.
Your practice feeds a personalized study plan and a Test Behavior profile that identifies patterns in pacing, confidence calibration, and answer changes across a session. The goal is not simply more questions answered. It is clearer information about your preparation that you can act on.
All content reflects the current NCE blueprint (effective through June 30, 2027) and goes through a structured QA process before it reaches you.
