What is CounselorIQ™?
An exam-preparation platform with 1,500+ original, exam-style questions, five full simulations, diagnostic and readiness exams, a personalized study plan, and study guidance that identifies patterns in your practice performance.
Do I need a credit card to try CounselorIQ?
No. Anyone can take the free 25-question NCE Readiness Check — no account and no payment information required. You get immediate results, full rationales, and selected performance insights.
What's included for free?
The free 25-question NCE Readiness Check: a snapshot across all six NCE domains with immediate results, full rationales, and selected insights. Full CounselorIQ tools — the question bank, simulations, exams, and analytics — require a paid plan.
Content & accuracy
Are these real NCE questions?
No. Every question is original content created for CounselorIQ™. We mirror the NCE's content domains and formats — we never reproduce actual exam items.
Will my practice score predict my NCE result?
Practice scores and readiness estimates reflect your preparation progress and help guide your study plan, but they do not predict, promise, or guarantee any NCE result.
Which blueprint version do you use?
All questions are tagged to the current NCE blueprint, effective through June 30, 2027. Each question carries a status, automated QA status, and human-review status.
Is this affiliated with NBCC?
No. CounselorIQ™ is an independently developed exam-preparation resource, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).
Billing & plans
Can I cancel my monthly plan anytime?
Yes. Cancellation stops renewal at the end of your current billing period, and you keep full access until then.
Are the multi-month passes really one payment?
Yes. The 30-Day Sprint, 90-Day Mastery, and 6-Month Deluxe passes are single charges with no recurring fees — full access for the duration of your pass.
How is payment processed?
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never store your card details.
Privacy & support
Is my data private?
We collect only what's needed to run your account and track your study progress. We do not collect clinical records or health information. Your progress data is visible only to you and app administrators.
How do I get help?
Use the in-app Feedback link or the Contact page. We respond to bugs, suggestions, and questions.
